Senior Network Engineer

Location: Farnborough

Working pattern: 3 days in the office, 2 days from home

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000, plus Company Bonus and Benefits

The Role:

Parico is seeking a talented Senior Network Engineer who is smart, curious and prospers against the challenge of working closely with a small business to solve complex and challenging problems across the Public Sector landscape. You’ll have the freedoms to be truly innovative to roll up your sleeves, get stuck into the detail of systems, and generally do what it takes to achieve incredible technical solutions to our customer’s complex problems.

You will be part of a team developing greenfield systems and services for our clients, using cloud services and on-premise infrastructure components. You’ll have the opportunity to shape operational platforms and services within a close-knit technical team. You’ll have the freedom to apply your knowledge and experience whilst also recommending further technical ‘good practice’ and improvements to enhance all infrastructure capabilities.

Responsibilities include:

• Responsibility for the design, deployment, maintenance and support of client network infrastructure
• You'll monitor network performance, integrity and capacity
• Resolving complex issues
• Automate tasks and processes
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship for junior Engineers
• Collaborate with third parties and vendors to deliver network services

Our Ideal Candidate:

• You'll have experience of providing support within an Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) methodology
• Exceptional troubleshooting skills and a proven track record of resolving incidents within Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
• Demonstrable experience of maintaining Enterprise level networks within a datacentre environment
• Previous experience working with Juniper, Cisco and / or FortiGate products
• Ideally you'll have demonstrable sector knowledge or experience within UK Defence (Army, Air force or Royal Navy).
