Security Architect

Location: Farnborough / Heathrow

Salary: £600-650 per day (outside IR35)

Duration: 6-12 month contract, possible extension

*Candidates must ideally already be holding UK Clearance to DV level. Candidates who hold SC may be considered*

The Role

Parico is seeking a skilled Security Architect to join our dynamic team in tackling complex security challenges across multiple sectors. In this role, you will design and implement robust security architectures that ensure the protection of sensitive data and systems, while guiding the adoption of secure practices and technologies.

You’ll partner with senior stakeholders to assess risks, define security requirements and deliver solutions that meet industry standards and compliance. You’ll drive security strategy, lead implementation and orchestrate incident response, keeping security front and centre across all projects. Your expertise will shape secure, scalable infrastructures, mentor teams on best practices and elevate the organisation’s overall security posture.

What you'll be doing:

• Producing architectural and policy artefacts in support of the solution under design

• Undertaking security reviews of key technical design documentation

• Identifying vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies within the technical solution

• Providing security advice and guidance to the technical engineering team

• Producing security threat and risk assessments as part of the Secure By Design accreditation approach • Providing continual engagement with stakeholders in Security Working Groups (SwGs) and external suppliers

Our Ideal Candidate:

• Extensive experience in designing, implementing and managing security systems for large-scale enterprise environments

• Excellent understanding of encryption, identity management, risk management and secure network protocols

• Experience securing cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP), with a focus on securing cloud-native applications

• In-depth knowledge of industry regulations (GDPR, PCI-DSS, etc.) and experience ensuring systems are compliant

• Skilled in performing vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to identify and mitigate security risks

• Familiarity with industry security standards and frameworks, such as NIST, ISO 27001 and CIS, along with compliance regulations like GDPR and PCI-DSS

• Experience in building and executing incident response plans, as well as conducting forensic analysis after security breaches
